An award winning short film that Sophie wrote, directed and starred in. In this tribute to DC comics, Sophie portrayed the iconic antihero, Harley Quinn and injected her own humour and intensity into the role. A personal project of hers, that she successfully utilised in a way that expanded her discipline as a filmmaker and her commitment as an actress.
Creating and practicing in her spare time, especially when not actively working on a job, is one of the ways Sophie grows in her acting. It allows her to explore new characters, develop emotional depth, and refine her craft. By taking on diverse roles, as Sophie did in this scene from American Hustle, she pushes her boundaries and enhances her versatility. Continuous exploration and practice helps build confidence, deepens understanding of different emotions, and maintain a connection to the craft, even during downtime.
Creating a featurette and managing social media promotion is an invaluable experience that Sophie is currently delving into. Exploring multiple roles, such as director, writer, and lead actress, she talks about her experiences from production. This is a way Sophie is creating her online brand, through her promotional content. She is learning how to market projects, connect with audiences, and gain visibility. It showcases her talent and she is gaining real-world knowledge in promotion and branding, which will be useful for future projects.

SKILLS
sophie practices the art of aerial acrobatics, specialising in hoop practice.
“Mastering aerial hoop has proven my dedication and physicality, and has added a distinctive element to my abilities. Aerial arts has emphasised my body control and expression through movement. As I develop my abilities, I have become captivated by the visual spectacle this art displays. I wanted to integrate it into a performance through a personal project, which created many memorable moments for me. ​Embodying this physicality allowed me to develop characters through free feeling movements, which adds depth to any role I emerge myself within.
I chose this craft as a way to boost confidence and enhance my presence, I now take this into my professional life. I have really benefited from my hobby and wish to continue finding unique skills to learn and improve.”
